  The LTMR4647 is a complete 30A output switching modestep-down DC/DC μModuleR (power module) regulator.Included in the package are the switching controller, powerFETs, inductor and all supporting components. Operatingover an input voltage range of 4.7V to 15V, the LTM4647supports an output voltage range of 0.6V to 1.8V, set bya single external resistor. Only a few input and outputcapacitors are needed.

  Its high efficiency design delivers 87% efficiency from 12Vinput to 1.0V output with 30A continuous load current.High switching frequency and a current mode architectureenable a very fast transient response to line and loadchanges without sacrificing stability. The device supportsfrequency synchronization, programmable multiphaseoperation, N+1 phase redundancy, and output voltagetracking for supply rail sequencing.

  Fault protection features include overvoltage and overcurrentprotection. The power module is offered in a spacesaving 9mm × 15mm × 5.01mm BGA package. TheLTM4647 is available with SnPb (BGA) or RoHS compliantterminal finish.

  演示板DC2141A

  Demonstration circuit 2141A features the LTM®4647EY,a 30A high efficiency, switch mode step-down powerμModule regulator. The input voltage range is from 6V to15V. To use DC2141A for input voltage range from 4.7V to6V, connect INTVCC to SVIN (change R22 from OPT to 0Ω),DRVCC to VIN (change R21 from 0Ω to OPT, R28 from OPTto 0Ω). The output voltage range is 0.6V to 1.8V. Deratingis necessary for certain VIN, VOUT, frequency and thermalconditions. The DC2141A offers the TRK/SS pin allowingthe user to program output tracking or soft-start period. Theboard operates in continuous conduction mode in heavyload conditions. For high efficiency at low load currents,the MODE_PLLIN jumper selects pulse-skipping mode fornoise sensitive applications or Burst Mode® operation inless noise sensitive applications. The MODE_PLLIN pinalso allows the LTM4647 to synchronize to an externalclock signal (between 400kHz and 800kHz). DC2141Ahas the option of choosing both internal and externalcompensation circuit for LTM4647. Tying the PHASMDpin to different voltage generates certain phase differencebetween MODE_PLLIN and CLKOUT. The LTM4647 datasheet must be read in conjunction with this demo manualprior to working on or modifying demo circuit DC2141A.
