  The DP83TC811S-Q1 device is an IEEE 802.3bwcompliantautomotive PHYTER™ Ethernet physicallayer transceiver. It provides all physical layerfunctions needed to transmit and receive data overunshielded single twisted-pair cables. The deviceprovides xMII flexibility with support for standard MII,RMII, RGMII, and SGMII MAC interfaces.

  This device includes the Diagnostic Tool Kit,providing an extensive list of real-time monitoringtools, debug tools and test modes. Within the tool kitis the first integrated electrostatic discharge (ESD)monitoring tool. It is capable of counting ESD eventson both the xMII and MDI as well as providing realtimemonitoring through the use of a programmableinterrupt. Additionally, the DP83TC811S-Q1 includesa pseudo random binary sequence (PRBS)framegeneration tool, which is fully compatible with internal loopbacks, to transmit and receive data without theuse of a MAC. The DP83TC811S-Q1 is housed in a6.00-mm × 6.00-mm, 36-pin VQFN wettable flankpackage.

  The TIDA-01425 is a subsystem reference design for automotive gateways focused on increasing bandwidth and processing power in gateway applications. The design implements Ethernet physical layer transceivers (PHYs) for increased bandwidth along with an automotive processor for greater processing capabilities allowing automotive gateways to pass more data at higher speeds. Furthermore, the design offers a starting point for a full automotive gateway design with a full power tree, CAN PHYs, and components selected with automotive requirements and emission specifications in mind to simplify the design process.
