The TSUMV59XU is a highly integrated TV SoC solution for advanced analog television platform. Integrating latestadvanced technologies from Mstar Semiconductor, the world leading TV SoC provider in TV industry, TSUMV59XUprovides the most cost-efficient solution for multimedia TV application with creative and attractive featuresexclusively presented.

In order to achieve the lowest BOM cost in a multi-media TV platform, TSUMV59XU integrates TV/multi-mediaall-purpose AV decoder, VIF demodulator, and advanced Sound/Videoprocessors into a single device. This notonly reduced the overall BOM significantly, but also facilitates the design of originally-complicated TV systems fordevelopers. In addition, the memory-embedded solution by TSUMV59XU can reduce the excessive work ofmemory interface routing on board and the risk of memory performance degradation while powering cost-down inthe total system.

The powerful multimedia A/V decoder inside TSUMV59XU is hosted with a dedicated hardware video codec engineto secure fast and stable video streaming playback. Moreover, TSUMV59XU is equipped with a DSP specificallydesignated for audio application, including digital audio format decoding and advanced sound effects, and a highperformance RISC CPU to manipulate all possible routines and house-keeping activities. With extendable USB 2.0interface, an TSUMV59XU based system can turn into a high quality media-center in a simple manner.

For standard users, the TSUMV59XU provides multi-standard analog TV support with adaptive 3D video decodingand VBI data extraction. The build-in audio decoder is capable of decoding FM, AM, A2, BTSC and EIA-J soundstandards. TSUMV59XU also supplies all the necessary A/V inputs and outputs to complete a receiver designincluding HDMI receivers and component video ADCs. All input selection multiplexers for video and audio areintegrated, including full SCART support with CVBS output. The AD52580 is a high efficiency stereo class-Daudio amplifier with adjustable power limit functionand dynamic temperature control. The loudspeaker driver operates from 8~26V supply voltage andanalog circuit operates at 3.3V supply voltage. It can deliver 20W/CH output power into 8Ω loudspeakerwithin 0.09% THD+N and without external heat sink when playing music.

AD52580 provides parallel BTL (Mono) application, and it can deliver 40W into 4Ωloudspeaker within 0.15% THD+N. The adjustable power limit function allows user to set a voltage raillower than half of 3.3V to limit the amount of current through the speaker.

Output DC detection prevents speaker damage from long-time current stress. The dynamictemperature control is a gain control system. As chip junction temperature higher than a warning level,the gain level will decrease until junction temperature lower than the warning level.

The output short circuit and over temperature protection include auto-recovery feature.
