  CCG1 provides a complete USB Type-C and USB Power Delivery port control solution. The scalable and reconfigurable corearchitecture of CCG1 enables a base Type-C solution that can scale to a complete 100-W USB Power Delivery with Alternate Modemux support. CCG1 is also a Type-C cable ID IC for active and passive cables. The ARM® Cortex®-M0 CPU based core can use

  common open source firmware or custom solutions developed with common libraries and APIs. CCG1 is the CC controller that detectsconnector insert, plug orientation, and VCONN switching signals. CCG1 makes it easier to add USB Power Delivery to any architecturebecause it provides the control signals to manage external VBUS and VCONN power management solutions as well as external muxcontrols for most single cable-docking solutions. CCG1’s packaging options, and programmability, enables any USB Type-C and USBPower Delivery solution.

  CCG1演示板

  The CCG1 Demo Kit is based on the CCG1 product family of Cypress’s USB microcontrollers. This Demo Kit is primarily intended to be a development vehicle for USB host and client systems that house a Type-C connector. For USB Power Delivery (PD), the host and client boards available in this kit can be configured as a downstream facing port (DFP), an upstream facing port (UFP), or a dual role port (DRP). The kit also serves as a vehicle to evaluate the Alternate Modes for Type-C, using DisplayPort video as an example.

  CCG1 Type-C Host Demo Board (Rev 3)

  The CCG1 Host Demo Board is used to emulate a USB Type-C port that would be present on a USB host, such as a tablet or a notebook. This kit contains CCG1 in a 35-ball WLCSP package and includes a Type-C Connector, a USB SuperSpeed Type-B connector, and a DisplayPort connector. Two USB Mini--B connectors are used for debug and programming; and a SWD header for programming CCG1.

  CCG1 Type-C Client Demo Board (Rev 3)The CCG1 Client Demo Board is used to emulate a USB Type-C port that would be present on a USB device, such as a monitor or a docking station. This kit contains CCG1 in a 40-pin QFN package and includes a Type-C Connector, a SuperSpeed Type-A connector, and a DisplayPort connector. Two USB Mini--B connectors are used for debug and programming; and a SWD header for programming CCG1.

  CCG1 Type-C Cable EMCA Demo Board (Rev 1)

  The CCG1 EMCA Demo Board is used to emulate a smart cable with an embedded Type-C controller at both ends. The Type-C controller on either end reports the cable characteristics (e.g., current rating) to the Type-C ports. This kit contains two CCG1s (one at either end) in 35-ball WLCSP package and includes two Type-C Connectors, and SWD headers for programming each CCG1.
