The ALED6001 is an automotive-grade(AECQ100 compliant) LED driver that combines a boost controller and high-side current sensingcircuitry optimized for driving one string of highbrightnessLEDs. The device is compatible withmultiple topologies such as boost, SEPIC andfloating load buck-boost. PWM dimming of theLED brightness is achieved by means of anexternal MOSFET in series with the LED stringand directly driven by a dedicated pin. The pinthat manages the LED current setting, usuallyconnected to an external resistor, can also beused as analog control if a microcontroller islocated in the LED module.
The high-side current sensing, in combinationwith a P-channel MOSFET, provides effectiveprotection in case the positive terminal of the LEDstring is shorted to ground. The high precisioncurrent sensing circuitry allows an LED currentregulation reference within ± 4% accuracy overthe entire temperature range and productionspread.
A fault output (open-drain) informs the hostsystem of faulty conditions: deviceovertemperature, output overvoltage(disconnected LED string) and LED overcurrent.

采用LED6001的LED驱动扩展板X-NUCLEO-LED61A1
The X-NUCLEO-LED61A1 is an expansion board designed to provide sample compact LED driver applications using the LED6001.
X-NUCLEO-LED61A1 can be configured to operate LEDs through a boost converter or SEPIC converter and comes with a photo-transistor for ambient light sensing. The X-NUCLEO-LED61A1 is compatible with the ST morpho connector and supports the addition of other boards which can be stacked onto a single STM32 Nucleo board. The user can also mount the Arduino™ UNO R3 connector.
It is designed to provide sample solutions for several applications involving single LED strings (e.g., off-grid street lighting, advertisement boards, signs, gaming etc.)
